Gosh....I'm still having my Stiff Neck! So uncomfortable.
On Tuesday morning when I woke up from my sleep, I felt my left shoulder and neck are a bit stiff. I did not bother about them until in the late afternoon, the pain became intense. I bet it must be due to my sleeping position that lead to this problem. I MUST CHANGE my pillow!!!
If only hubby will bring me up to IKEA for shopping, I'm gonna get myself a new pillow! While surfing their website, I found it very informative and well organised. Hmm....must bug hubby to bring me to IKEA one day ;)
Ouch! I can feel the pain now! : (
Yesterday night, I stacked up my pillow to made it higher, but it does not help. I've been sleeping on that pillow for almost 4 years already and did not encounter any problem until recently. It must be a sign telling me its high time to change a new pillow. *GRIN*

Junk Food
Mum always forbid me to eat junk food when I was young. Her reasons are "Its very unhealthy, salty and a lot of msg + colouring are added into them. Aii....don't eat so much la." However, I just could not resist it and will secretly buy a packet or two and munch away. If only she knew about it, she is going to nag at me. Sorry mum, I just love junk food! ;)
Now as a mother myself, I inherited her way and forbid YX to eat junk foods! But I will buy some and munch in the office occassionally. ;)
However, last weekend when I went back to Johor, dad surprised me. He bought 4 canisters of my favourite junk food. Let me present you with ......
.... PRINGLES !!!!
Well, my 60 something dad is also an avid fan of Pringles. And without my knowledge, he offer some to YX!!!!! and told us that my son lovessss them too! Dad, of course YX loves them as they are so tasty, isn't it?

Right to Learn - A one-stop toys shop
Singapore Kid's Place blog is written by an Australian mother who lives in Singapore for the past 2 years. She felt that she could not find enough information pertaining to her children on certain things and thus, blog for others to know. How kind of her to share her thoughts and information.
In her recent blog, she introduces an online shop, Right To Learn which provide educational toys and learning resources where you can get a variety of toys ranging from educational, arts and crafts, puzzles and many more for children to make learning more fun.
Just like YX, he likes to explore new things and are quite observance. Whenever I gave him a new toy, he will play with it for a longer time compare to his old toys. He likes puzzle game and will sit down quitely and engrossed into it. He will then proudly show off his work to me once completed! In between of the play, he learnt colours, shapes and learnt to be patient as he got to do it himself without our help. This also built up his self confidence. ;)
If you wish to purchase any educational toys but do not know what to buy, go to Right To Learn to find them out!

Online photos printing
Yesterday, I was on cloud 9! I received another parcel. WooHoo......but this time, it is not a gift. It is my own online purchase! Yes, this is the first time I purchase something online. Was worried at first, but after reading the terms and conditions, I think it is more convinnence then worried that overwrites me.
Received via Skynet courier service. I directed the items to be sent to my office, and this guy who deliver my thing was good. He is very familiar with the area and within minutes after he called me to reconfirm my location, he arrived.
The items were well sealed and packed in a small box. I'm very happy with the packaging as it protected my items.
Photos being inserted into the normal album and well protected again with a layer of thicker cover.
Total 3 albums. The price is simply irresistible. Rm0.30 / piece for 4R and RM0.50 / piece for 5R.
Am really happy with this purchase. I ordered on Friday evening around 4.30pm and received my items on Tuesday morning around 9.30am. No hassle at all and the customer service reply my enquiries via e-mail super fast! You can visit their website here.

Welcome Home
My dear YX is back home with us again. It was wonderful to have him back. The whole house is merrier and lots of laughter and shouting too! Shouting because he made our blood boiled! Only 2 weeks I did not see him and I felt he has grown up. He is a big boy now ;)
We welcome him back with a big drumstick. He loves to eat chicken, especially KFC.
...and proudly show off his work!
Another of his creation.
And the end, we welcome him with a big bowl of shaved iced mango. Definately not for him to finish this alone! See the red bowl at the left side? We only let him ate half a bowl of it which is consider A LOT. But having him back with us again really brighten up my day. And I'm happy he is not stingy to share the small red bowl of mango with me.

Hometown
Very happy because tonight, after work, we will be going back to Johor. To my so called hometown, my parents home. Actually, when people asked me where is my hometown, I will always replied "I grew up and studies in Batu Pahat, but shifted to Segamat after SPM". I will never reply that Segamat is my hometown ;) because I did not really stay there for long. After shifted to Segamat, I left for KL to further my studies. And after studies, I continue to stay in KL to work before got married, and now based in Seremban.
Well, I still miss Batu Pahat as all my childhood memories are built there. The last time I visited BP was during my ex-classmate's wedding in early 2006. As the wedding was held in the afternoon, hubby and I managed to drive around BP after the wedding ceremony and ended our 'tour' in the glutton square near the riverside for some delicious foods that I really missed! That moment was really unforgettable. And I was so proud to show hubby my beloved hometown, the place where I grew up since birth.

A random shot
Photo sessions with the kids are never easy. It is not just a mere snap and done. And after so many shots, only a handfuls are perfect. You have to made sure they show their best smile, sit / stand in the correct possition and gave the best post for a good shot. However, whenever I click on the camera, most of the outcome is not what I wanted. Somehow, some turned out to be rather funny!
I have actually placed XJ sitting in the middle, but when I clicked on my camera, she already lie down like this. Her butt is still in place, but not her other parts of the body.
This photo was not meant to be like this. I keep on calling her, asking her to look at the camera screen, but she ignored me. She prefer the story book more. Then, being the impatient me, I just click away on the camera and caught this instead! (The book was actually close and XJ just happen to open it when I click on the camera).
I never took any picture of her eating solid, so I thought maybe I should do it. I scooped up a spoonful of porridge and getting ready for a shot, but she just does not want to open her mouth. After a few clicks, all she did was busy touching the spoon and porridge (mouth still close). Afraid of the mess, I just show her an almost empty spoon and there she goes - OPEN her mouth wide!
Ouch! Hahaha....I like this! She was playing with her brother's toy - Ultraman (courtesy of gong-gong). I just randomly click on the camera and caught her like this.
"Yucks! mei mei licking her dirty toes"! This is how YX must have thought. Look at his face. Disgusted!

Dunkin' Donuts
This morning, I went to Putrajaya (to one of the government office) to settle some office stuffs. It is like at least once a month I will need to go there. Normally, I will leave the office at around 8 am, and reached there an hour later. Traffics are usually not heavy - nothing like the traffics in KL downtown = always jammed. Between, the government office which I went have ample of FREE parking spaces, and a canteen which provide delicious malay foods.
After I'm done with my stuffs, it was already 10.15 am and I'm thinking to buy back our lunch, since eating around the office is getting bored. We have been eating there almost every Mon -Sat, so there are not much of choices. How nice if there is a McD nearby so we could lunched on their special offer for selected burgers only. Too bad, nearby our office do not have any fast food outlets.
While driving along the highway, I was thinking hard on what's for lunch. Chicken rice? No. Economy rice? No. Pizza? Very tempted, but it will not taste nice when it is cold. Still have at least 1.5 hour before our lunch time. So, no. KFC? No. So what should I eat? Then, I remember there is a Dunkin Donuts outlet at the Rest Area and I stopped to see what Donuts shall I eat for lunch today. Something special isn't it if comparing to rice and noodle which we have been eating almost everyday.
To my surprise, its not the donuts that caught my eye. It is the Sandwiches. I really did not know that Dunkin Donuts sell sandwhiches. All the time at Dunkin Donuts outlet, I will NEVER look at their menu, but LOOKING at their beautiful donuts on the shelf. However, today the huge banner display at this Dunkin outlet really caught my eye. I saw Sandwhiches.
Here are our lunch ........

My all time favourite - Croissant with Tuna fillings. Too bad the croissant was not toast, so it did not bring out the buttery smell. However, the Tuna are awesome. No fishy smell, creamy and generously spread.
Iced caffe latte. It is a set meal which comes with a drink. Very fragance coffee aroma, slightly sweet and cold. Just nice for such a HOT weather.
See.....8 pieces of precious meat.
And his sandwhich is done! I choose the oatmeal bun for this. The bun is not toast as well, so it is a bit hard. However, the smoked chicken breast are very tasty. It is salty with a light smoked smell, very tender and juicy. Too bad, they did not add in fresh onion, otherwise it will bring out the taste even better. Well, I did not toast the bun myself because both sandwhiches are already spread with a layer of mayonnaise, some fresh lettuce and a piece of tomato. It will be a very messy job.

As for my hubby, I bought a Smoked Chicken Breast sandwhich for him. I ought to choose this because it is the Dunkin's Wednesday special - 50% discount. ;)
As he does not eat cold meat (the fillings are cold), I will have to toast the meat when I got back to the office. Otherwise, I will be hearing him nagging and nagging about the cold sandwhich. Very Ah Pek (old man in Hokkien).

A happy day
I should have blog on this earlier, but did not manage to take photos and hence, delayed till today. Last Monday, just as I reached home after work, MIL said there is a parcel for me. Wow! I'm so happy ! I'm actually expecting for a parcel to arrive but do not know when, as my dear friend, H had SMSed me earlier to inform that she had sent something for me.
2 beautiful dresses for my daughter!
Will have to keep this one first as it is a a little big for XJ now. Maybe in another 6 months time, she will be able to fit in.
This piece fits her perfectly. Just nice for her age and size now. And just perfect for the weather now too - EXTREMLY HOT!
It comes with a little panty. I thought of keeping till XJ's birthday for her to wear, but yesterday, I already let her wore it. Just can't wait to see how she looks like in this dress ;)
My parcel.............all the way from Johor.
Sent via Poslaju. It is indeed a reliable postage company. At least, I received them safe and well sealed. So what did I received? Deng...deng...deng....the items are......

Spring Kids - the online shopping
It is sometime great to have blogs in the cyberspace to share experiences, thoughts, ideas and even online business. I happen to visit Leonny's blog and found that she has officially launch her own online business. Leonny is a mother of 2 who currently resides in Singapore. Her new venture include selling clothings, shoes and accessories for kids as well as adults. You can have a variety of choice from here.
She even conduct a contest give-away on her blog for the lucky 8. You just have to follow some simple instructions in order to be eligble to take part in the contest. I actually took part in this contest and hope to be one of the lucky one. ;)
Frankly speaking, I've never tried online shopping. Everytime when I'm tempted to try, after several thoughts, I will drop the idea. Maybe I should give myself some courage to try. It will be fun when the items you purchased are being delivered directly to your door step. Just like receiving presents / parcels for some special occasions. It will definately brighten up your dull day!

When the daddy did not keep the spectacle......
.....YX will treat it as a TOY!
It has been many times I reminded hubby to keep his spec at a higher place, so YX will not be able to reach it. However, he just won't listen. Ok, maybe he forgot or for his own convenience, he will just leave it where ever it is easy to reach.
To date, hubby has changed 3 spec because YX, the destroyer, destroyed them. Plus 1 of my MIL's spec. Sometimes, she also have the same habit as my hubby - simply put on the table and easy for YX to take and play with.
This photos was taken when hubby was taking his bathe. Again, he left it on the table top and YX with his sharp eyes and fast pace hands took it, twisted it and wore it. Luckily he did not broke it! Seeing him so cute, I quickly took a snap before hubby comes in and scream.
And I even helped him to put it on his head and said "quick quick smile and take picture before papa comes in". Oh no, I'm spoiling him :) Up till today, hubby still did not know about these photos, but will definately show him one of the day. Maybe I should show him earlier just to send him a message 'PLEASE KEEP YOUR SPEC OUT OF REACH' !!

Self-declare holiday
What a relieve when I heard both my parent-in-laws are confirmed going to Malacca TOMORROW for a day trip to visit one of the factory for some business. Meaning, I will have to stay at home and take care of my baby girl.
Actually, FIL did not even mentioned about the baby even though he knows it is impossible to bring the baby along. Last night during dinner time, MIL told me about this trip and said that I will have to take care of the baby myself. Then, I took up this opportunity to self declare a holiday for myself. FIL just kept quiet which I assumed he approved. As the saying goes 'Silent means consent'. FIL must have been expecting me to bring the baby to the office, but I have dissapoint him by saying I will stay at home instead.
Anyway, I will definately have to stay at home tomorrow to be a full time mum and enjoy my every seconds with the little one. It is just impossible to bring the baby to the office. To bring one little baby, you will have to bring a car full load of things. Eg. cradle, walker, toys, diapers, extra cloths, slow cooker to cook porridge, bowl, baby spoon, milk powder, bla bla......so many things! Isn't it better for me to stay at home instead?

Into the bin
Recently, I have a craved for biscuits. After lunch, I felt like nibbled something, otherwise, I felt so uncomfortable. As I had run out of biscuits (all CNY cookies are finished !), one fine day during lunch time, I went to the Chinese provision shop to grab a packet of my 'childhood' biscuits. Have not been eating these for so long. Here you are.........
...the 'biskut rokok'. I remember during my younger days, I used to eat this type of biscuit which until now, I do not know the actual name, but will always named it 'biskut rokok'. It does look like a shape of cigarette, doesn't it? After so many years, it is still so delicious, not oily, taste a little sweetness and crunchy.
I poured out a few and kept into this container for my convinnence - as just open the lid and can pop one into my mouth. Maybe due to my laziness as well as does not need to untie the rubber band and tie back again after eating. However, little did I realised that this container is NOT AIR - TIGHT at all !!!

Then, I remember there is an oven in the office's pantry and I quickly grab those soft biscuits and hope to re-bake them, so they are edible again. Due to my lack of cooking experience, take things for granted attitude, day dreaming and foolishness, my poor biscuits turned out to be like this.........

8 months old
XJ is now 8 months old. Brought her to the clinic for the follow-up appointment recently and her weight is now 7.3 kg. Up from 6.6 kg in March 2009.
Even the weight graph showed there is an increase in the weight, however, the margin of the increase is consider low compared to YX when he was a baby. I looked back at the appointment card of YX at 8 months, he already gained 8.5 kg. However, I know every baby are different.
> XJ still cannot sit unsupported. She will either fall to the side or front.
> No sign of teething yet
> Still does not know how to crawl
But .......
> XJ can call out papa, 'baba', and shout aaaaaaarrrrrrrrrr when she is excited
> knows how to move very fast in her walker
> loves to eat porridge with fish
> loves to eat bread
> turn over to her front, then turn over to her back and so forth. She enjoy turning around in the bed
> have seperation anxiety. Whenever she see us walking pass her (either to the kitchen or toilet), she will follow behind and sometimes cry out loud hopping we will carry her.
> Once carry her, she will automatically waved bye bye.
> Will push her body towards the door, telling you she wants to go 'kai-kai'
and the most important is > she sleeps soundly at night, straight from 10 pm - 6 am. At least I could sleep well too!

The same
Hiss! Why am I so 'black' for the past 3 days as wearing the same colour cloths as her!!!!
Monday, I wore BLACK, and she wore the same.
Tuesday, I wore PINK, and she wore the same again.
And today Wednesday I'm wearing GREEN, she is wearing the same as mine!
Is this coincidence or what?
Hope tomorrow we are NOT going to wear the same colour again!
Who is that she? Well, someone not from my family definately!

I miss him
For the past 2 days I could finally sleep early and can even save up my energy as does not need to chase and shout at YX. The whole house is so 'peaceful' but a bit boring thou. Hmm...you must be wondering why? Because my YX is currently in Johor!
That weekend we went back to Johor for my cousin's wedding, YX wanted to stay back with my parents. I do not know if it is because we did told him earlier and he seems to understand it. I have been repeating to him for the whole week before we went back to Johor. I told him "YX stay with gong-gong and popo in Johor, papa & mama come back and work, ok"? and he will always replied "Ok". So, after the wedding, we told him we are going back now and he must be a good boy, listen to gong-gong and popo and he seems ok. He waved bye bye to us.
Hmm.....and for the past 2 days, my mum told me YX does not even mentioned papa & mama and does not seems to be looking for us too.
However, both hubby and I MISSed him soooo much. The whole house is so different without him around. Hope he enjoy his little holidays in Johor. :)

Wedding on Mother's Day
The only cousin (maternal side) who was 'dating' has finally tied the knot yesterday @ Mother's Day. It is a brilliant idea to arrange a marriage in conjunction with Mother's Day as many who attended the wedding, especially those from outstation got to spend quality time with their mother too.
On the stage during the wedding lunch, the groom was being asked why he choose this day for his wedding and he replied in a very simple way "Because today is Mother's Day, a meaningful day". The bride continues "I wish both my parents Happy Parents Day and to all the parents here, Happy Parents Day to you too".
It is very touching but this reflects sad memories to me and I believe to my mum and some relatives too. Because both the groom's parents already passed away. My aunt, who is my mum's eldest sister will definately be the happiest mother on earth if she is here to witness her only son's wedding and I believe, that will be the best Mother's Day gift for her too. However, she left us about 6 years ago due to cancer.
During her 3rd death anniversary, older relatives marked the day of 'pantang' is over and advised my cousin he could get married already (That time he was already in a relationship). However, just as he wish to plan, his father passed away due to heart failure. Another 3 years of 'pantang', another 3 years to wait and yesterday, he is finally married.
Wishing this newly wed couple have a blissful wedding and a great journey ahead.
And aunty & uncle, may you both rest in peace.

Her first Wave
In another 3 more days, XJ will be turning 8 months old. Still no sign of teething.
Now, she has the seperation anxiety. Whenever she is on the walker, she will follow us behind, even into the kitchen. However, if she did not manage to follow us, she will cry as loud as she can. Yesterday was also the first day she shown us her first wave.
MIL was carrying her and she was so happy (showing happy smile with mouth wide open but no sound). Then, she push her body towards the door, just like telling MIL that she wants to go out. So, MIL walk towards the door and told her to wave us 'bye bye' which she eventually did it. I do not know if this is a co-incident or she really knows how to wave.
My girl has grown up. :)

So, MIL walk towards the door and told her to wave us 'bye bye' which she eventually did it. I do not know if this is a co-incident or she really knows how to wave.
My girl has grown up. :)

Seperation
Yesterday, YX creates another devil act. He use his toy animals to poke baby XJ's eye. It missed her eye but there is a small cut at the side of her eye lid. Poor baby.
Hubby was thinking to bring YX to work so he could be temporary seperated with his little sister. However, what is YX going to do for about 9 hours in the office? What can I let him do to occupy his time? Everything he do will only last for 5 minutes.
He does not sit still to watch cartoon
He will not play with his toy long
He is too active moving around
So what can I do? Haiiiii.......MIL said "Kids at this age is like that la. Just got to wait till he grows up a little, then the devil in him will go away".
Hope today he is not going to create another headache for all of us. YX ....next year we will be going to enrol you into preschool and hope the teacher there will discipline you well. Or will the teacher be calling me everyday to say "Your son hurt another classmate". or the teacher will say "Your son very naughty. Today do this, tomorrow do that". Sigh.......

Honey
These few days, weather over here is damn hot. Even when the sky seems to be covered with dark cloud in the afternoon, rain does not arrive. The cloud just drifted away. I think it is going to be almost a week it did not rain. Arr...good to dry cloths but bad weather for us.
I'm now down with sore throat. Maybe due to the heat. I've been drinking plenty of water but still does not help. I think I drink almost 2 liter of water in the office and a few more small glasses at home. So in total it should be 2 liter plus of water. At least I think I drank a lot though.
Arr...so now I'm going to made a glass of cold honey. Mum told me pure honey helps to soothe sore throat. This is what I got from the honey box:
Sore Throat : Take 1 spoon of honey into the throat and hold it for a few minutes. Take a few times a day. Or, drink honey with water in the morning and evening regularly.
Hmm....going to try that today see if it helps.
Besides, honey are also very good for treating wound/burns, lose of voice, insomnia and constipation. I did not know honey have so much of usage. Let me share some tips with you here:
1) Wound/Burns : Apply honey to wounded area for treating inflammation and avoiding scar
2) Lose of voice : Drink honey water with Lemon juice
3) Insomnia : Drink honey with warm water. Drink before bedtime
4) Constipation : Drink honey with warm water. Add some salt into the warm water, then add honey and take every morning and evening.
5) Treatment of cold and flu : Boil apple in water, then drink it with honey when it is warm. Or slice ginger and cook with 500 ml of water until boiling, take it up and wait until warm, then add honey and drink.
Honey is so useful........and it is delicious to drink too!

Mobile line bar
Yesterday wanted to call mum and dad. Hubby's phone was just next to me, so I used his instead. Upon calling, there was a voice message saying the line was interrupted. I thought my dad's handphone low in battery or no signal. Therefore, I tried to call home (fixed line). Gosh...the same message repeated again.
Me: Wei...you did not pay your phone bill ar? (Hubby was using the Value Plus 50)
Hubby: I just went to made payment yesterday *showing me the bill*
Me: Your phone cannot call out
Hubby tried to call my phone and the same message repeated again. Then, he proceeded to call the 24 hour customer service for assistance. To his surprised, the customer service guy told him his line was being barred due to certain reasons. Hubby asked "What reasons? I've just paid my bill yesteday." The guy checked and replied "Incomplete information".
Then the guy sense something was not right and quickly said "must be some misunderstanding. We will activate your line immediately".
Gosh......so complicated. Until now, we are not sure why the line was being barred. Hubby pay all his bills on time and never use above limits.
Arrr.......finally the line was being activated. Maxis maxis......what happen?

Puuuttt....FART ...... Yucks!
The other day, YX really make us laugh. There were 5 of us in the car and SIL suddenly asked "Hmm....who farted? So smelly." One by one of us quickly replied "Not me, not me, not me" and out of the sudden, YX said out loud "ME". This boy.....sometimes make our blood boil, sometimes so funny!
This morning, the little poor boy vomitted. Its my fault. I confessed. He just finished drinking his milk and was lying on the bed playing with me. Then, I farted! Gosh........sorry boy. Mama does not mean it, but it is beyond my control. I know it is GROSS.
Between, I did not fart in the car that day. Since all of us said no, it must be YX himself!

Holidays
One day of holiday just went by like that.....so fast. Many are still on holidays as today is Saturday, but hubby and I need to work. :( But my mood will change to :) since tomorrow is Sunday! A holiday for us again.
Yesterday went for shopping 1/2 day and spent the remaining 1/2 day at home. Managed to buy 3 pieces of T-shirt and a pair of jeans. Am really glad in such a short time, managed to buy something.
Hubby took YX with him while I took XJ. Hmm....my little girl are good. She was sleeping so soundly while I was busy looking for my stuffs. Once I made my payment at the cashier, she woke up and smile at me! Ha....look at how obedient she is : )
Now is around 3.20 pm....hurray....another 1.5 hour we can go home....and hubby plan to go to Malacca for a short trip tonight. Actually this plan was delayed again and again for weeks already. Few months back, we went to Malacca to visit my aunt in the Mahkota Hospital and we noticed that Malacca was very beautiful at night with all the lighting lit so brightly. YX was also so excited when he saw the beca (trishaw) decorated with beautiful lights. As we were rushing for time that day, we plan to come back some other time.
Hope it is not raining............
