Me : Boy, what is your teacher's name?

YX : ???

Me : Like you, have a name called YX. So what is your teacher's name?

YX : Teacher

Me : No...No....name! Ok, example, Teacher Alice, Teacher Wong..... (I already knew his teacher's name but just want to test him)

YX : Err......Cikgu.

Me : *slap forehead* No....Cikgu in Bahasa means teacher. That's not her name.

YX : Teacher Cikgu !

Me : .........

eugene ~ U want people to call you SIR ? I've never want to be a teacher because have to stand infront of so many people and talk. I'm afraid of presentation. haha

Linda ~ LOL! That's a good one. Tell you the truth, he don't know. I've told him before, but he can't remember my name.

Pete ~ Now, I don't think he knows le. Like what Wenn said, students will only call 'teacher' and maybe that applies to him as well.

  9. p & p mum ~ Maybe I confused him as he only greet his teacher as 'teacher'.

Mummy-J ~ He always make me laugh with his talk.

Lilyhyppo's mum ~ I think you are right. In kindie, they only call teacher and therefore, do not know the name.

  10. Hahaha so cute! Btw only 1 teacher in the school teach him? There are 2 teachers teaching my daughter's class. And there are other teachers too. The children will address the teacher like Auntie Pauline, Sophia Jie Jie (yeah they don't use "teacher" don't know why) by their name. So she knows who is who. :)

  12. Some teachers never teach their students how to call them. I will! I teach them how to address me, how to greet me...and they MUST do so whenever we meet. Imagine them telling another teacher - dunno his name, that fat one, big and ugly, looks like Fei Mao (Fat Cat)! Tsk! Tsk!!!

suituapui ~ LOL!!! FEI MAO! I like his movie.. very sad and always make me cry! I agree that teaching students to greet the teacher by name is very important. At least they know who is who.

Mummy Gwen ~ hahaha....Ms Teacher. That's the problem when they do not know the teacher's name.

  16. Haha... young kids don't really understand the concept of names. I remember when my niece was abt YX's age, she was so surprised to learn about my name and asked me "You mean Kam-Mou (aunt) is not your real name?" haha.
