Mozzies

Recently, there are lots of mozzies in our house. When it rains, the mozzies will be more. Worst of all, they are like vampires, hungry for blood and only attack the kids.

The picture did not turn out clear. While feeding YX dinner (a short 30 minutes), his leg was being attacked by the mozzies. A total of 5 bites on his right leg and 1 bite on his left. Sadly, the mummy did not see any mozzies at all. When YX suddenly scratching, only I realised he already had so many bites! Baby XJ was lucky though because she was busy walking up and down in the house. So she only have 2 bites on her leg.

Baby XJ applying salt on YX's leg. Saw me applying for YX, she came and kepoh kepoh !
MIL home-remedy. Whenever there are mozzies or insects' bite, she will quickly apply salt (sprinkle with some water) on the bitten area. Apply for a few times, in an interval of 30 mins - 1 hour. Soon, you will notice the bites will not be swollen and does not itch at all !

  9. Mozzies especially love to bite children. Children's skin is soft plus sweat a lot. Although I stay in 5th floor, occasionally still have mozzies come to bite my daughter. So, my hubby bought this brand "Hamilton Stingose for stings and bites". It is very effective to stop itchiness after bitten.

Haha...find your MIL home remedy using salt very interesting. Might try that also one day.

  13. Aiyor...have to be careful - dengue and this new one chikungunya!!! Don't open windows before the sun rises and shut them before the sun sets. Spray the house when going out - a lot!!! (May be harmful if people are in) Last resort, use those electric "mosquito coils".
