Tired....but enjoyable

I've been in the working world since I finished my studies until today. I've never had a chance to be a SAHM until recently when MIL went for holidays overseas. And to tell you the truth, I must salute to all SAHM and WAHM. It is never an easy job and if I were to choose, I will rather be a FTWM. LOL!

However, I truly enjoyed this moments sweating and running up and down the house. There are so many things to do yet so little time ! In the morning, YX went to school leaving baby XJ and I alone at home. She sleeps in the morning (9am - 11am) so I could do some cooking for the kids. When YX comes home, he will be very hungry. Thus, I need to prepare lunch earlier. Let's look at yesterday timetable to see how I managed.

6.30 am - Wake up from sleep
7 am - Woke YX up
7.30 am - Bathe baby XJ
7.45 am - Fetch YX to school (hubby left for work at 7.20 am which will be too early for YX to go to school)
8 - 9 am - Took breakfast and spend some time with baby XJ
9 - 11 am - Rock baby XJ to sleep. Prepare lunch.
12 pm - Feed baby XJ and eat my own lunch
12.30 pm - Fetch YX back from school
1 - 2 pm - Feed YX lunch and bathe him
2 - 3 pm - Try to coax YX to take afternoon nap....but failed! Spend time watching cartoon with the kids. Made milk for baby XJ
3 - 4.30 pm - Prepare to cook dinner. Run up and down from kitchen to the living room and make sure the kids behave themselves. When hear baby cries, run out and see what's wrong. 2 minutes later, have to run out again to check on YX because his turn to cry. In and out of the kitchen like 100 times and I think I can lose some weight here!
5pm - Feed Baby XJ and YX dinner.
6pm - Eat my own dinner plus bathe baby XJ
6.30 pm - Hubby came back and serve him dinner
7 pm - Wash all the dishes while hubby turn to look after the kids

Since the kids did not take afternoon nap, they were a bit cranky.

7.30 pm - Took bathe quickly (like mandi kerbau) and wash the clothings. Thanks to the washing machine.

8 pm - Bathe YX as he was sweating playing and the weather is terribly HOT !

8.30 pm - Made milk for both kids and time to zzzzzzzzz

9pm - Both kids finally zzzzzzzzzz and hubby too !

Thought wanted to dry the cloths but was too lazy to get up as can feel my body glued to the bed already. So I also slept around 9 + pm. Pretty early night ya.......because I was dead tired!

Do you think I'm qualified to be a SAHM. haha....I rather WORK FULLTIME !
.
Note : I will not be able to visit your blog in this week. Thks people for visiting and leaving comments. Will be back in action by next week, hopefully. ^_^

  3. Lol! So good that your children slept so early, and you also get to rest early. Taking care of children needs a lot of patience, I am still learning to have good patience now.

  4. If only I could be a SAHD! I guess I was half-one as I only worked half day...and spent the rest of the day taking care of my baby. The hours spent with the child, bonding...watching the child grow...taking care when sick...and the love grows stronger each passing day! Wouldn't want to miss that for the world. Priceless!

  17. Hehe...SAHM actually are still considered "working" mar~!! It just we have to work 7 days a week, with limited meal time(especially if we took care of 2 or more rascals), have to manage endless house chores, and work like a servant in a stressful condition with no salary paid!:p

Anyway, the only bonus we get is when our kids give us an innocent smile, hugs or kisses!^-^

Have a nice day to you!

  35. coffeesncookies ~ Oh yes...I'm those type. FTWM + SAHM in 24 hours a day. Really jialat!

  36. Oh, I can definitely identify with that kind of schedule when I go on leave becos the babysitter is not available. But I definitely do enjoy being an SAHM if money is enough. Being an SAHM, the deadlines and timelines are not tht tight compared to a FTWM. As for me, being an FTWM and plus coming back home to do household chores plus babysitting after work is energy-draining, but what to do? No choice have to live with it.

  37. Alice Phua ~ Same here Alice. If $$$ is enough, I too prefer to be a SAHM. Not only the deadline but you will feel satisfied in doing things for the kids as well as keeping the house tidy and clean. But if got a maid to clean up the house, better still. hahaha
