My parents came up last weekends.
Every trips my parents came, they will never forget to bring something for the little ones. This time, they bought a study table set for the kids. 1 table + 2 chairs. As the kids were already sleeping that night, we set the table up and showed them the very next morning before we went off to work.
YX and Baby XJ were so excited when they saw the table set. It was fully decorated with animals, alphabets, numbers and colorfully designed.
That evening, we were held up at work and came back quite late. As we stepped inside the house, I was shocked that 'Typhoon Megi' came and visit again. MIL was at the car porch sweeping the floor and does not want to look at the mess done by 2 little monsters.
The table was folded and threw on the middle of the floor.
Papers and pens were scattered everywhere on the floor.
The 2 chairs were at the living room, far away from where we first set up the table + chairs that morning.
Hubby asked YX what happened and he just kept quiet. We threaten them that we are going to sent back the table set to gong gong since they don't like it. YX quickly ran and protest by grabbing on the table. After warning was given, hubby set up the table and chair again.
That's not the end. Both decided to have a little competition.
While we were having dinner, we heard the kids were fighting. I walked over and saw........
Both were playing Tug - Of - War ! YX wanted the table to be more to the left, while baby XJ wanted the table to be more to the right. So, both were pulling at each side, screaming !
2nd warning was given and we continued with our 'no-peace' dinner.
As both were 'disqualified' for the Tug-Of-War, they decided to play 'Musical Chair' !
I really don't understand what was the fight for. Both chairs were of the same COLOR, same DESIGN and same SIZE, yet the kids wanted to have the SAME PIECE OF CHAIR !!!! leaving the other one idle at the side. I offered the other chair to baby XJ but she refused and wanted the one YX was sitting on. I asked YX to give in and let baby have the chair and take the other one. He refused.
Gosh! We nearly threw the kids out of the house that night!
Breath in......Breath out........
Finally, hubby finishes his quickie dinner and asked both to go into the room to play with their toys. Both went up with hubby without hesitating and forgotten about the chairs and table.
That night, after both kids were sleeping we were discussing whether to keep the table set away or to leave it. We then decided to leave it for 1 more day and hopefully no more disaster. Glad that it has already been 1 week + and no more typhoon visiting. *Fingers crossed*
