Crafts time

This is a very outdated post. Below are the crafts YX and I had done during the last school holidays (Nov/Dec). We got the idea from Teacher Merryn - Crafty Crafted Studio.

I'm not too sure if YX really enjoyed his crafts sessions but he was very happy with the end product and will proudly showed them to MIL and hubby. However, he is not patience enough to do the painting. After colored for about 20 % or so, he will pass the whole things to me saying he was very tired.

Caterpillar.
YX asked me why does that caterpillar looked so sad ?

UFO
It looks more like a pizza to me !

Octopus
He insisted to apply 2 colors on the octo.

Fish
We used red beans as the eyes

Aeroplane
Not so nicely done but he love this the most, besides than the UFO.

We did one craft a day and that already took about 1 - 2 hours of our time. We are slow learners. haha... Nevertheless, I must say we make good use of our time together. It was fun.

Coming up next ........ YX's masterpiece........

  2. Wonderful. Hone their creativity and imagination (something students today seem to lack so miserably - something wrong in the upbringing and the education system - exam, exam, exam) and spending quality time together - most important in parenting!

  3. A creative way to recycle and turn them into art work. I like the caterpillar the most ^.^

  4. i think it's not the quality of the outcome, but the process that binds you with him doing the crafts.. it's quality time spent together for mommy and son~~ :)

Very good you got the patience to do crafts with your boy. I don't have the patience. :( I just leave my boys to the art teacher.
