Diarrhea

A day after YX recovered from the virus attack, now it was XJ's turn. On Wednesday morning, MIL called to informed that XJ vomited and complaining of stomach ache. In the afternoon, she developed a mild fever and had 2 times of diarrhea. However, she was still active when we saw her after work.

The next morning, XJ vomited again (4 hours after her last feeding), and I quickly brought her to see the same pead. YX visited. The doctor suspected that XJ might have contacted the virus from her brother. Doctor also advised that adults may be attack by the same viruses too. Similar medications were prescribed and so far, XJ has been taking them without any problem except for the ORS which she doesn't like to drink.

Doctor also advised to avoid oily and sweet food which will normally caused stomach indigestion and discomfort. Milk is best to reduced and eat more solid like plain porridges or bread.

After a few rounds of diarrhea, my poor girl has been complaining of buttock pain. Hope all these will soon be over...........seeing the kids sick, it is better that I'm the one who is sick !

  1. I'm sorry for XJ, hope she feels better by now! If she refused ORS you can try to give her 100 plus, plain porridge with pinch of salt would ease diarrhea too(my mom's conventional method). I reckon most rashes cream will help to reduce the buttock discomfort, all the best!

    Just keep her rehydrate!
