Since young YX is quite a picky eater. He doesn't simply put food into his mouth. If we introduced him new food, he will use his tongue to taste before he decide whether to eat or not. Recently, there are some improvement. He is now eating green leafy vegetables and noodles (mee hoon, pasta) which he don't take when he was younger.
In order to make him eat, hubby sometimes will tell him "Why not we eat the face", or " Let's eat the cheek, the eyes, the shoulder, etc...." whatever hubby could think of. This worked on fish dishes. Whenever the dinning table has got whole fish (head to tail), YX will request to eat the fish's cheeks (the best part of any fishes) and hubby will dug them out for him. He felt so excited requesting for the parts he wanted to eat and hubby will be so happy serving him !
Last December, we attended a cousin's wedding and when the fish dishes were served, he quickly requested for the cheeks. My other cousins who sat together on the same table were surprised that YX know how to eat the BEST part of a fish and quickly 'chop' the whole fish head for him.
|Fish head specially for YX. He was so happy seeing the fish head on his plate.|
And YX did a great job. He patiently dug the flesh out from the fish head and enjoyed his meal.
|Almost finished !|
