The 'LOVE' of homeworks

When comes to doing homeworks, YX can be a very good boy. He can sit down concentrating and finished up the homeworks without much of shouting from us. He loves homeworks especially :
1. circle the correct answers
2. Color the pictures
3. Put a tick or cross (X) in the box
4. Match the pictures
5. Fill in the blanks

BUT

HE HATES WRITINGS !!!

When he brings back writing books, he will give all kind of excuses :
1. I want to go to the toilet
2. My hand is tired
3. I have no 'power', I need to drink water
4. I'm hungry
5. I'm sleepy, etc , etc .....

Chinese writing - strokes
Tracing dotted line ( left ) and write on his own ( right ).
Do you think it is too hard for a going to be 5 years old child to write ?

Chinese writing - tracing dotted lines
He only needs to follow the dotted line and traced yet he is so lazy to write. But when he has the mood, he can continue writing until he finishes up his works and showed to me, proudly. That will only happened 1 in every 10 times.

opps........a hole in the book.
Rub and Rub....till his book was torn.

Nevertheless, I'm still adamant he should goes to the Chinese Primary School. It will be beneficial to him in the future.

  3. Hahaha... those excuses were being 'thrown' at me last year. Surprisingly she improves this year and no more complains when come to writing :D

YX'll get use to this routine soon. In the mean time, just bear with the 'whining'.

  7. Maybe he finds it boring and meaningless... He likes "doing". Does he know the meaning of the characters?

"Nevertheless, I'm still adamant he should goes to the Chinese Primary School. It will be beneficial to him in the future." I refrain from making any comment on this... Just remember the child's future is in the parent's hands...
