Celebrating CNY in school

Yesterday, YX's primary school organised CNY celebration.  All students were required to wear something smart and presentable to school instead of their uniform.

YX went to school as usual but brought books for 2 subjects only which will be taught towards the end of school. The whole morning students were in the hall for lion dance performances. There were drum performance, dancing and singing as well.

YX was absolutely enjoying himself and he told me the lion dance threw peanuts and he managed to grab some. Before the performances ended, respective class teachers handed out ang pow for all the students.

A memorable 2013 Chinese New Year for YX indeed.

  1. Wow! I really love the Ang Pau design, with a snake to symbolise year of the snake and the greeting, so appropriate to school going children.
