Home cooked Mee hoon sotong

This mee hoon sotong is quite popular in Seremban. There is a famous stall selling this in the Seremban wet market whereby MIL used to 'tapau' for breakfast. It's MIL and XJ's favourite too.

The other day, MIL braised some 3 layered pork and there were some leftover. Instead of eating those pork with plain rice again, MIL turned them into mee hoon sotong. Since she doesn't have the sotong (cuttlefish) available at home, she omitted it.

MIL cooked the starchy soup with some garlic. Normally, she uses fried shallots which I think tasted better.

Soup to goes with the mee hoon
Stir fried some mee hoon in the pan with some oil, mixed the soup, pork + gravy and some vege = home cooked mee hoon sotong !
