On Monday morning, I had some errands to run in downtown. Before I left, I quickly made a cup of milk + oats for hubby as his breakfast. As I was scooping the oats into the milk mixture, I do not know why my hand suddenly knocked against the spoon and in a split second, the cup of milk toppled down on my body. I was wearing jeans that day and yet, the hot water still manged to burn my skin !

| Blister due to the hot water |
You can imagined how hot the water was as it stained my working desk. Worst, the milk dirtied the office's carpet. Instead of rushing off to the town, I had to clean up the mess ! I quickly used Febreze to spray on the carpet to remove the odour.

ReplyDeleteVery very painful at the moment it happened. But a few hours later, no more pain.
DeleteAiyoo.. Pain pain...
ReplyDeleteRemember to apply creams ya!
Yes...applied already. I should have applied it immediately but I only did it after cleaning up the carpet.
DeleteOh dear, accidents do happen, esp when you are in a rush! I get burned during cooking quite often too. I've learned that if you apply aloe vera (fresh or gel also can) immediately after being scalded, the water blister won't pop up and there is no pain. Just a red patch and it heals very fast.
ReplyDeleteThks for sharing your remedy. I had some burnt cream in the fridge. But I applied them too late. Once spilled, i quickly clean myself and also the carpet. I even went home to CHANGE! haha
Deleteeh, u used hot water instead of warm water to make milk? remember don poke the blister....
ReplyDeleteNormally, hubby drink at around 10am, so I used warm water. But that day, i had to leave the office by 8.30am so I used hot boiling water. At least the milk will still be warm by the time he drink it.
