Taiwan ( 29 Apr - 6 May 2013 ) ~ Day 7 & The Final Day

Every good thing will comes to an end. Just like our enjoyable Taiwan trips, 8 days past in a blink of an eye.

After breakfast on Day 7, our guide brought us to visit a mini Orchids farm. I'm not into flowers so this place is kind of boring to me.

Beautiful white orchids

My favourite crab ~ assembles with real plants

XJ was thirsty
Next, was shopping time ! We visited the A Plus Cosmetic duty free shop. Most of the products were made in Korea. Now, it is a boring time for the men ! haha..... while the ladies listened attentively to the sales lady who was demonstrating the products to convince us of the uniqueness of their brand. Most of the ladies bought a bottle or two.

Our lunch that day was a special one again. It was a Theme Restaurant !

The restaurant's name
Before entering the restaurant, we were told to shout 'NINJA' so the secret gate will open for us to pass safely. Otherwise, we will be splash with a bucket of water. Sounds scary, right ? haha

A fake Ninja hanging on the ceiling top
The interior of the restaurant are unique. Even the waiters and waitresses's uniforms are special !

Food were quite tasty.

Cold salad

Smoked duck with salad

Don't know what dish but texture similar to abalone. Must be some kind of shell fish

Deep Fried 'pregnant' fish

Glutinous rice in a shaped of a STAR

Steamed seafood eggs

Sweet & sour chicken with fries

Lemonade served in a test tube
Half way eating, one of the waiter came to perform some magic shows to entertain us.

The waitress was very friendly and even allow XJ to hold her fake samurai sword for a photo.

XJ was fascinated with the test-tube lemonade. After having her own portion, she even took mine !

After a sumptuous lunch, we visited the Taipei 101.

Taiwan's icon ~ Taipei 101
Next, we visited the Pixiu Gallery. People in Taiwan, especially businessman and those working with the travel agency strongly believed in the Pixiu which is said to bring them luck, fortune and protect their lives. A master in the gallery picked a few people from our group to have their fortune told but none of us bought the pixiu he recommended as it was too expensive. A small one cost a few hundred ringgit.

Soon, it was dinner time and to avoid crowds, our tour guide arranged for an early dinner at around 5.30 pm. Food in this Chinese Restaurant were very tasty.

A table loaded with delicious dishes ~ 8 dishes + 1 soup
Hotel that night was at U-Fashion Motel, which was near to the airport. The journey from the restaurant to the hotel took about 40 minutes. I did not managed to take a picture of the hotel but you can click here to view the beautiful private SPA with a built-in television in the bathroom. It was a very unique hotel and room was comfortable. All of us had a good night sleep.

Day 8

Breakfast was in the hotel itself. At around 11am, we were being transferred to the nearby restaurant for early lunch and then, to the airport for the 4pm flight.

Our luggages
Hello Kitty theme at the departure hall.

Hello Kitty public phone @ airport (departure hall)

Hello Kitty little hut

Home sweet home ^_^
In the flight, I ordered a cup of hot Milo for XJ before she slept throughout the journey back home. As for me, I did not realized that I'd accidentally smuggled in a cup of Taiwan milk tea into the plane ! I was wondering how come the custom people did not see it.

Enjoying her Milo in-flight before she took her nap all the way home
Our flight landed at around 9pm and after met up with hubby, we went for a bowl of hot kuey teow soup. Ahh.....it was so nice to be home again and really, nothing beats Malaysian food !
