Horsey Chinese New Year celebration in school

Ang pow from his school
Yesterday, there was a Chinese New Year celebration in YX's primary school. All students were required to wear their New Year's clothing to attend school. They only need to attend the later half of classes (after recess) and best of all, NO HOMEWORK was given !

The earlier half day, there were performances in the basketball court. YX was so happy to be able to touch the lion dance. Some talented primary 5 and 6 students dance and sing and the school actually invited some association to perform Chinese Yoyo (Cher Ling).

Just like last year, every students were given a red packet consist of RM2. YX will give to me and asked me to keep. This year, he was wiser. He only showed me and said he wanted to bring the RM2 to buy food in the canteen. Since, it was his money, he is allowed to manage on his own.

  2. So nice. Good of the school to make an effort to do that. Our cultures, all the good practices must be preserved, and practised so they will not die out eventually in this modern day and age.
