Life

My brother had gone overseas to work for about 2 weeks. He received a bad news from his ex-classmate. He was told that E (another classmate) just passed away due to cancer. My brother was shocked.

Life is so unpredictable. Sometimes, we might have taken things for granted. I personally do not know this classmate of his, but I do know how he looks like. It is just too young to leave like that. He must had suffered a lot due to this illness but still, he left too young.

He left behind his wife and children (not sure how many kids he got) but I'm sure his children are still very young, just like our kids' age. I always reminded myself to be a better person, to appreciate and be grateful to the people around us. However, sometimes it is hard to forgive and forget. It takes courage to open up the heart to be forgiving.

May E rest in peace and hope god will look after his family.

  3. R.I.P. Personally, I feel that once one gets that dreaded scourge, it is best to go quickly - all that suffering, both the person and the family all around.

By the way.....how you steam rice? You use normal rice cooker or you have the Anshin Rice steamer?

    1. At such a young age, it is so hard to accept that fact that he is gone forever.

I steamed rice using gas. Just place the rice and some water (about an inch about the rice) on a stainless steel bowl, steam over low fire for about 30 minutes or less (depending on the amount of rice).
